First time stepping back on the ice in a year since my shoulder injury. So happy to lace them up again and I survived the first skate...barely. 
I may struggle to walk tomorrow!!! Somehow running every day does nothing to help with the skating muscles.

Look for the positive. So summer’s into its last weekend 😭 but with it comes a drop in temperatures which also means an improved running pace. 
Few things I like more than running in cooler temperatures. Not sure about 60 degrees in August but can’t beat it when it’s time to run!

Consistent miles all summer long. Never gets old running with the trees and lake. 
Running every day initially took some getting use to in the first couple months but now it’s just a regular part of the day. 
Make sure to find a way to do things that give you energy and things you love. You’ll always be thankful when you do! #

Some people assume that two back to back intermittent fasting/cleanse days with no meals would lead to low energy. It’s actually the opposite. I ran both days and today the first day following just had the best 10km trail run. 
Our fasting/cleanse process leads to a huge increase in growth hormone and therefore the body is set up to build more muscle and repair faster. 
It’s really easier to be healthy than many people think. Just takes some pre planning (but not a lot) to eat the right things at the right time! .
