Happy #weightlosswednesday ! 
So happy to say I have lost 7lbs and 11 inches in the last 14 days! It is crazy to think all that was from changing my diet!

I have had a lot of back pain recently so I have barely been moving let alone working out and I am so glad I have the @21daymealplan to help me reach my goals when I only have half of the equation. 
I used to think I could eat whatever I wanted if I worked out enough...which is not the case. Even with a vigorous workout routine you still need a balanced diet and to have the "treats" in moderation. 
I am finding that I am not missing the extras that I usually crave since I planned out a month if meals in advance. Now I always know what I will be making or eating, grocery shopping lists are easier to make, grocery bills are cheaper, meal prep is faster, and my cravings have decreased!

One of my favorite snacks is pickles and I'm so glad I can make them from scratch to satisfy my cravings. Recipe was found in the @21daymealplan Volume 2 meal plan. I modified by not cooking my pickles, I just let the cucumbers soak for a couple of days so they stay crisp.

Being a rough couple of days mentally and it's been hard to get motivated to workout. Yesterday was especially bad so I convinced myself to put on a swim suit and get in the pool. Glad I did, it helped me get through the evening and helped power me through my day today. Sometimes bad days happen, we just have to do what we can to find some light or a way to get through.

In an effort to be more budget aware in 2020 I decided to plan all my meals for the month ahead of time to make eating healthy easier, meal prepping & grocery shopping less stressful, and sticking to a budget& reducing food waste easier🙂
.
Everything you see in this photo cost less than $60 and will feed 2 people @21daymealplan meals and snacks all week+  some excess for next week - like the meats and spinach.
.
I did choose 80% lean beef (not compliant) instead of 93% to be more cost effective since there was more than a $1 per pound cost difference.
.
Basically my point is it is possible to eat healthy on a budget, it just takes some planning and a bit of a strategy 😊

Never really considered myself a runner but after training for the quarter marathon and then starting marathon training I started enjoy running and look forward to my runs.🏃🏼‍♀️

For the last two weeks I've been out of commission because I had bad back pain that made it difficult to move and I could barely walk for the first week. Now that I am on the tail end of the pain I want to get back into training but I know I should take it slow so I don't reinjure myself. 😕
.
The combination of the back pain and the holidays were a recipe for little movement and not great food choices that have put me up around my heaviest weight again... To get back on track I will be following the @21daymealplan and slowly returning to exercises, making sure to incorporate yoga to the mix to help with my back.🧘🏼‍♀️

I'm determined... Determined to stick to marathon training and eating healthy. After finishing my 2 mile run I made a green smoothie (lots of spinach, banana, low-fat Greek yogurt, PB powder and low-fat milk) and got my black coffee☕ to start my day off on the right foot.

I participated in an awesome workshop @hacfitness with @yogaathac on Friday. It was a Rhythm and Flow workshop that combined yoga flow with contemporary dance. I had so much fun getting into the movements and trying something new, it made me feel so strong, feminine, and confident. Definitely want to incorporate more dance into my workouts😊 (I'm in back left of the mirror, light purple pants and a black tank🙂)

3rd year running the Reindeer Run and my best time yet! Completed the 5k in 33:57 with a 10:57 pace, which is my fastest so far 🏃🏼‍♀️
