Photo by @mathiassvold | Lake Bled, near the Alps in Slovenia, is one of the most breathtaking, fairy-tale-like places in Europe. A church is located on a small island in the middle of the lake. The legend says that your wishes will come true if you ring the church bell three times.

Photo by @kevinfaingnaert | Beautiful, mysterious, and unique, Cartagena's Old Town has no trouble getting attention. Its narrow streets and gorgeous architecture make it one of Colombia’s most coveted and popular destinations. #cartagena #colombia10 hours agoDownload

Photo by @DaisyGilardini | Ice is nice. That’s a fact. I simply love playing with its colors, shapes, and patterns. I can spend hours at a time poring over a sculpted block of ice like this one in Antarctica, always finding new details and abstractions.
I find it’s a creative process that allows one to be focused on the task at hand and be in the moment. In our era of constant hyperactivity and multitasking, I find it refreshing to let my mind relax and focus on just one thing.

Photo by @coryrichards | Stilt fishing came into being in Sri Lanka just after World War II and was in wide practice up the coast until the 2004 tsunami. Due to the tsunami's wreckage of damaged coastlines, many stilt fishers were unable to utilize this method in catching fish. This reduced access to fish has made many fisherman transition into farming.

Photo by @jimmychin | A 25-year dream realized … This spring Kristine Tompkins and Tompkins Conservation concluded the largest private land donation in history with the formal handover of Pumalín Douglas Tompkins National Park and Patagonia National Park to the people and government of Chile. Over the last 25 years Tompkins Conservation created five new national parks, expanded three others, and helped conserve more than 14.2 million acres of wilderness. It's truly incredible and almost impossible to understand the scope of what they have achieved. Their work is a global model for conservation and a beacon of hope for the world in protecting and preserving our remaining wild places. Thank you, Kris and Doug, for showing us the way forward. A few committed people with a grand vision can change the world for the better. For more images of adventures around the world, follow @jimmychin.2 days agoDownload

Photo by @jonathankingston | A stingray swims in the iconic waters of Bora-Bora, French Polynesia. A close cousin of sharks, stingrays have some amazing superpowers. Rather than using their eyes to hunt, they use electrical sensors to locate their next meal, which they then crush with insanely powerful jaws. Masters of camouflage, stingrays spend much of their time hiding on the ocean floor. If threatened, they use their venomous barbed tail as a weapon to discourage predators.
