No burger press needed.Just use 2 pieces o wax paper, make a palm sized meatball ,place between the wax paper and press down with your hand. Easy cheap and simple

Plus, don’t pre-season your burgers as it dries them out. Also, I no longer season the meat before I make the patties. Instead I season the patties just like a steak, right before cooking.
