I 🖤my Tuesday’s, best and busiest day of the week. .
I get to do all the things I love in one day.
.
I start off by teaching sunrise Pilates at 7am, then I PT a lovely lady just starting out on her fitness journey, teach Legs, Bums and Tums with my fabulous mummy’s at 9.15, and finish my morning with PT which is always a laugh!
.
Back again in the evening for two more sessions with my beautiful ladies and finish the day at 8 with my small group PT crew.
.
It’s a 14 hour day from start to finish but I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙌 I feel very lucky and privileged that my ladies have entrusted me with there health and fitness. .
Working towards goals and helping them accomplish them is something special.
.
If you want to join them I have space on other days of the week for PT. I also help mums to be and postpartum mums on the road to healthy motherhood via exercise or Pilates.

In fact over the years as I got bigger I would just stand in it and hold the top in front of me. In 2017 I signed up for Total Loser and have continued training with Gavin. Even last year it was several cm`s from fastening. Yesterday,now 6/7 sizes smaller than in 2017 I put it on and it fastened - just. Result - one very very happy couple!!! Some classes we all like, others are not for some of us. We spend a fair bit of time on the spin bikes and in the circuit classes but like to mix it up to keep it interesting. The variety of the classes is good and the range of equipment is great too.

The great thing about joining up as a family is there is always someone motivated enough to go which can give you the extra momentum if you are having a day were you’re just not feeling it as much. Even if we all go and do different things having a buddy to get you there helps.

If done properly it will HELP with your progress. You won’t be fatigued, hormones will be well balanced and your weight loss won’t stall. See it as a refuel week to eat more, lift heavy and make use of those calories. The body isn’t supposed to be in a prolonged deficit, so these breaks are crucial if you’re long term dieting.⁣⁣

Also it boosts ur confidence as u have to explode out of the sticking point of squat. TUT(time under tension) provides more hypertrophy to the muscles.
Start with 50% of ur 1 rep max and then increase according to ur comfort. Try to hold at bottom for min 3 sec and then explode out.

O que evitar no pequeno almoço!
Aqui esta uma imagem do grande Dr Barakat que mostra alguns alimentos que devemos evitar.
A maioria da população não programa o pequeno almoço comendo mal ou até mesmo não come nada por "falta de tempo" ou mesmo por preguiça.

Buscam alimentos mais "tradicionais" como: pão de farinha branca (nosso açúcar salgado), cereais (cheios de corantes e açúcares, todos muito industrializados), margarinas, doces,
embutidos como chouriço, presunto que nada tem de saudável. 
Então o que temos de comer?
A boa e velha comida de verdade: Ovos, frutas, oleaginosas, aveia, iogurte batata doce com canela, mandioca, inhame, um bolo proteico funcional... Batidos, Chás, café preto sem adoçar e, se for o caso, usar o mel ou açúcar mascavo.

So, I have noticed a steady increase of people watching Game Changers and  jumping onto the ‘plant based’ band wagon.

Now before I start here’s a few disclaimers.

Firstly if you’re vegan for ethical and moral reasons, good on you, in my eyes it’s the only reason to be vegan. 
This is not an anti-vegan post. I personally am omnivorous, I simply eat and advocate eating a healthy balanced diet.

My issue with the documentary is that I am sure it’s aim was to raise awareness and raise the profile of being ‘plant based’ it is ultimately filmed from a Pro Vegan perspective meaning it will position all points in favour of being vegan. 
This creates a totally biased and opinion based outcome as it isn’t looking at the comparative benefits of being either, Vegan, pescatarian, vegetarian or omnivorous.

It also positions points suggesting that people who eat meat eat only meat which is clearly not the case.

However, when you try to point out such facts, with the only agenda being to stop people being given any dietary misinformation it can create a negative backlash that is unjust.

So, here’s my view and points around diet, meat consumption and what you should do:

Always make your decisions based on doing research, understanding the facts and coming to your own conclusions.

If you want to cut down on meat or go plant based, that’s fine. The world doesn’t need to know and you don’t need to judge people not making that decision.

If we all swapped to support our local butchers and bought ethically sourced meat then there would be zero demand for the mass produced, unethically farmed supermarket meat. Local businesses would flourish and British farms would too. 
Lastly, just because someone does or doesn’t eat meat it’s not a reason to judge or create hysteria. 
Someone’s beliefs around what they should or shouldn’t eat based on morals and ethics are their own.

We are all the same, we all have caloric, micro and macronutrient requirements to function. Some foods are more nutrient dense but how we hit our calories and macros is up to us as individuals. 
Just do your research and form your own opinions so you’re not blinded by bullshit.

Push ups, usually the cornerstone of all of our initial experiences of working out. Its one of the first movements that spring to mind when people consider working out/building muscle. It can build strength within the chest and triceps, can be applied progressively or into a circuit environment, and is a fantastic movement overall. If you do it correctly.

Unfortunately it is common place to see this movement performed incorrectly. Take Note of the above videos ive posted. 1️⃣ is the correct way. 2️⃣ is the incorrect way.

As you can see in video 1️⃣ my arms are around shoulder width apart, And i am lowering myself down using both chest and triceps, and from the aerial viewpoint my arms are at a 45 degree angle from the midline of my body. A full press up guys is chest to floor, or near enough. Dont sell yourself short ! -

Good news is if youve been performing push ups incorrectly then its an easy fix. Think of this check list before you start.

1️⃣ Are my hands shoulder width ?
2️⃣ When in the high plank position are my hands in line with my shoulders or near
3️⃣ when i lower myself down am i touching the floor with my chest. 
4️⃣ what muscles are actually working ? this is a chest and tricep dominant exercise, if you feel your shoulders taking the majority of the load then somethings wrong ! -

Great progress from my client @sharellegrant . Photo on the left is when we started working together just after her WBFF April show. Photo on the right is after 24 weeks together just before she competed in the October WBFF pro show. .

Our initial focus together was a reverse diet from her previous show which she had never done before, plus an improvement in muscular symmetry. Within 7 weeks we had reversed from 1400 calories per day to 2300 per day. For context, her previous highest calorie intake was 2000 calories. She only gained around 0.5kg during this initial period and her starting reverse progress pic is attached here too for context. .

This higher calorie intake allowed Sharelle to build additional muscle despite the limited time frame. The focus was growth in the Glutes, Hamstrings, Shoulders and Back. Plus superior balance between her left / right Glutes and Quads with lots of unilateral training initially. .
.
Next up we switched over to dieting down for her show. Along the way we used lots of strategic diet breaks and a progressive increase in energy output to ensure she didn’t plateau. She worked HARD and trusted the process. .
.
The outcome was she stepped on stage at 53.9kg which was 4kg lighter than her last show. In short, she was leaner, more muscular and more symmetrical than ever before. Naturally, we were both very happy with the progress. .
.
Now she’s exiting the dieting phase and working on getting her maintenance calories back into the low 2000’s. She’ll regain a little more weight post stage this time as she got leaner but it’ll still be controlled. Well done Sharelle on all your hard work!34 minutes agoDownload
