Are you insecure, self conscious and sensitive? To the point where you can feel every word, look, and gesture, whether it’s for you or not, you just want to escape your own body, your own life?

𝕐𝕠𝕦’𝕣𝕖 𝕕𝕖𝕗𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕝𝕪 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕖.

In those self-conscious moments not only is it a tough place to be but also painful to feel.

However, self-consciousness is all about you, not other people.

People aren’t focused on you as much as you think.

When you get caught up in your head, unconsciously or consciously, you put up a mask, judge yourself, hide your true identity and miss out on the opportunity of expressing your true self and connecting with other people on a heart to heart level.

Learning to be fully ourselves without caring about reactions and judgments from others is a life-long journey.

Regardless of how confident and self-assured you are there will come a time in life when you’ll feel vulnerable to be yourself.

But the question is, what is it that you’re most attached to in getting from others that’s causing you to be self-conscious? Is it approval, being validated, or being liked? 
And are you showing up in a way where you expect others to show up for you? For example, if you’re expecting others to be more accepting and less critical toward you, are you accepting and non critical of others exactly as they are?

Some deep wisdom within that question for you to ponder about.

So how do we stop feeling self-conscious? Because when you’re self-conscious of course you’re going to feel insecure and sensitive.

45kg LOST TODAY!!!! I am so proud, I am proud of the hard work I have put in this far, I am proud of changing my mind about many things, including what my body should look like. These pictures are only a week apart. Took the photo on the left last Sunday and the one on the right this morning. I’ve been on this cut now for a little over a week. The picture on the left I weighed about 145 and this morning I weighed in at 142. Big changes can happen when you have the right coach, stick to your macros, stick to your workouts and really give it your all. Here’s to week one down, only 22 to go 😅 Happy Saturday ❤️

This time last year I promised myself I’d stop skipping leg days. I HATED leg days, seriously hated them. I had so many progress pictures and PRs to show for my upper body (because that’s what I’ve always loved to train) and next to none for lower. I felt weak on lower body days, and when I feel weak I feel discouraged. But I finally faced the fact that the only way to change that was to get over it and DO IT. Do the hard things, and do them over and over and over and over.👊🏻
~
Since then I’ve had 2-3 leg days a week. They’ve been HARD. 🥵 They’ve been the days I leave the gym looking disgusting. They’ve been the days I huff and puff and push through. They’ve been the days I want to quit, and the days I still want to skip sometimes, but don’t.
~
My staple lifts in this season have been front squats, back squats, DB RDLs, and hip thrusts 🔥 but hitting my macros eating MORE food, and being consistent, have been the biggest catalysts.
~
It’s been so fun to see changes I’ve never seen before in my fitness journey 😍 but remember this is a highlight... with every “fuller”-looking flattering pose, comes some less flattering angles too😄 there are many, many days I feel big in a way I don’t necessarily enjoy, but I know what it sets me up for in the future so I’m embracing it and lifting as much as I can with it😝

You probably wouldn’t believe that these two pictures are 6 days apart. Yet here we are Sunday marked the end of a stressful, scary and intense week.  My body clearly reacted and held all that in my abdomen area.  This week had far less stress and better eating habits.  Naturally, I plan things as best I can because life 🤷🏻‍♀️ so despite having brought my gym clothes with me to work the 3 days I planned on going - it didn’t happen and I made it to the gym today and it felt so good. Growth doesn’t happen over night, it actually takes a lot of time, hard work and consistency; which is what you hear my preach about all the time. ⁣
⁣
I want to share what has worked for me on my glute growing journey 🤩⁣
⁣
EAT AND TRACK YOUR FOOD: ⁣
•Number one thing to do is start tracking your food. If you’re not sure where your calories/macros should be, then send me a dm and I can help! ⁣
•EAT PROTEIN. It’s not going to make you bulky, it’s going to help you BUILD muscle and BURN fat! ⁣
•EAT CARBS. Carbs are your body’s primary source of energy; more energy = better performance in the gym. Better performance in the gym = better results. ⁣
•Making post workout nutrition a priority has also been a huge game changer for me! ⁣
⁣
STOP DOING SO MUCH: ⁣
•Doing less is more. I used to do anywhere from 7-9 exercises and each of them I would do 4 sets. THAT IS SO MUCH VOLUME and there really is no need for it. Once I started just doing 4-5 exercises at 3-4 sets, things started to go in the right direction 💯⁣
•With that being said: pick 4-5 different exercises that work well for YOU and that you feel the most ENGAGEMENT on. Focus on progressive overloading (increasing reps/weights). For me it’s been:⁣
-Hip Thrusts⁣
-Hip Abductions ⁣
-Deadlifts ⁣
-Hamstring Curls (different variations) ⁣
-Front Squats/Leg Press ⁣
*I ALWAYS DO THE HIP THRUST!*⁣
⁣
BE PATIENT:⁣
•You have to consistently put in the work in order to see growth. ⁣
•You MAY have to get uncomfortable and start bulking up for a little bit like I did (I ate 2700-2800 calories from 4 months to bulk up and gain as much muscle as I could). ⁣
•Don’t give up even when you want to. I’ve wanted to give up so many times but I’m glad I didn’t because I’m damn proud of this progress and I ain’t even where I want to be yet! ⁣

It’s all about the pose! ⚡️

Check-in photos are boring and the stance is so off.

My front, side, and back pictures always make me look frumpy, so I throw in a fun pose to make me feel and look good.

This makes check-in day a little more fun for me. 😂

Also, weight loss has stalled and we’re kickin’ it up a notch 😬.

I’ve started a new strength/training program and moving calories down to 1200, plus adding in a bit more cardio 🙄

With calories on the low-low, I’ll need to be very strategic in my meal planning because if I can keep on track, I get a FREE meal on thanksgiving! Yay, pie!

I’ll ONLY be having a piece of pumpkin pie! 🥧

I’m all too happy with how I’ve been feeling and to go backwards right now is just not wroth it, so I’ll enjoy the meal, but I won’t be overdoing it.

I was always told that I was a great leader by example.

By former coaches, teammates etc. They knew that although maybe I wasn’t the most vocal, I was always putting in the work. I was doing what needed to get done, which helped to motivate and inspire others to do better as well.

If I’m not doing the work…why would I ever expect you to?

I show the behind the scenes of my life, because I want you to see that I’m over here working too. I show my struggles, and my successes…because I want you to understand that it won’t always be easy but it will be worth it! If it motivates you to make one healthier decision with your life, that makes me happier than ever.

All in all, this is just a reminder that…I’ve been there. Myself on the left, and myself on the right have two totally different levels of confidence, and that was something that was built over time. I’ve had struggles, I’ve had successes, and I’ve learned a TON. I’ve had times between these two pictures that I’ve been fully dedicated to health and fitness, and others where I basically gave up on it.

Whether we’ve talked before, or never had a conversation…my hope is that something I share will make an impact on your life. I feel like I’ve leaned out overnight 🤯😂👑 not complaining my legs are starting to do their thing and my abs look wicked 😭 I have worked my ass off for just under two years to get from nearly 18 stone, those first pictures, to this. I wake up and practice posing and I can’t believe that I look like this. I’ve got a long way to go, but what a fucking journey this has been and still is!

You KNOW what you need to do but you can’t bring yourself to do it😣This paralyzing feeling is SO common when it comes to fitness / nutrition and I know it ALL to well.

My best advice: just start with one thing & do your best to PLAN AHEAD with that thing. So let’s say it’s getting more veggies & protein in, plan the next 24hrs worth of meals to attain this. This way you have a specific way to accomplish that goal & you’re not looking too far ahead with it.
.
Most importantly, remind yourself that perfection will never allow you long term success. It’s what you do most of the time that matters! Make the best choices you can & if it falls through, you’re always in control of the next decision you make🙌🏼

When I look at these side by sides... I see not just a physical transformation but I also see how much I've improved as a person.

On the left, I was 17 in high school and weighed in at 220. On top of that, I was in my first serious relationship and at one of the lowest points in my life. I ate my feelings and didn't take care of myself emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I was around toxic people and was in a toxic relationship.

On the right, I am 19 and I'm a freshman in college pursuing my dream career of being a nurse. I'm 160 and I'm in the healthiest relationship ever and I'm at one of my happiest days of my life till this date. Yes, I still struggle with myself but I have improved over 3 years and I'm super proud of myself.

No matter how long the journey takes, enjoy the process because that is where you will learn the most about yourself.

She didn’t believe in herself!!
She tried the gym, she tried signing up for classes, she tried running in her neighborhood. BUT she never stuck with it. Left feeling defeated she CRAVED a solution but fearful nothing would!!

Until one day, she found an online accountability group and gave it her all!!! She was still slightly skeptical but showing up in her group made her want MORE! She came back day after day with more spunk and energy. Falling back in love with herself and the people surrounding her ❤️ .

The main reasons she LOVES our fitness group is because...
We get to work out at home!
We have accountability and support each other daily — you don’t always get that when trying something new and out of the ordinary!
She is in the BEST shape of her life!

Results don’t happen by accident. If you aren’t willing to put in the work, and make sacrifices when needed, you aren’t going to see the results.

It will be uncomfortable. You will struggle. I struggled, and still struggle. But my goals are bigger than my excuses. Stop making excuses of why it’s harder for you. It’s hard for everyone.

Go do the work. If you don’t know what that is, work with a coach who does. There is no shame in asking for help, but there is no excuse for not executing when you know what to do.

I cant believe how much im changing ...inside and out!

#day9 There's about a 30 pound difference between these two pictures. The first one is from my heaviest. It's been about 2 years since I've been at that point. I barely see a difference, but I do think I look better in the second picture. I know this is the paper towel effect. The first 30 lbs barely looks like anything but the next thirty pounds will look much more obvious. I can't wait to hit the next thirty pounds lost to see the difference. .
